Applicable to Sejamas.com Online Platform and Authorised Branches in Malaysia
These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases, installations, warranties, and services provided by Sejamas.com including but not limited to online transactions and branch walk-in purchases. By proceeding with any purchase, payment, installation, or service request, the customer expressly acknowledges, understands, and agrees to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
All prices displayed on Sejamas.com or communicated by authorised branches are calculated based on the trade in of an old battery of similar specification and installation performed exclusively by Sejamas authorised technicians.
Where a lower specification battery is traded in, a surcharge shall apply. Such surcharge amounts are predetermined by Sejamas and may be revised or amended at any time without prior notice. The customer agrees that the final price shall reflect the applicable trade in condition and specification assessment made by Sejamas.
To claim any warranty, service, or post purchase support, the customer must retain and produce the original official receipt issued by Sejamas. Failure to present a valid receipt shall automatically render the warranty and any related claims void.
The warranty shall be valid only for batteries installed by Sejamas authorised branches and technicians. Any battery purchased from Sejamas but installed by the customer or by any third party shall immediately render the warranty void.
Notwithstanding the above, the customer may apply for a reinstatement of warranty provided that the vehicle is presented at a Sejamas authorised branch for inspection within three working days from the date of purchase. Approval of any warranty reinstatement shall be determined solely at the discretion of Sejamas following inspection and verification.
Subject to compliance with all warranty conditions, the warranty coverage shall be limited as follows.
For private vehicles the warranty shall be valid for one year or 20,000 kilometres whichever occurs first.
For diesel vehicles and commercial vehicles the warranty shall be valid for six months or 10,000 kilometres whichever occurs first.
Mileage shall be determined based on the vehicle odometer reading recorded at the time of installation and any subsequent inspection. Once either the time period or mileage limit is reached, whichever occurs earlier, the warranty shall automatically expire.
The battery warranty shall be deemed void if it is determined that any system reset, electronic modification, or engine modification was carried out prior to the purchase or installation of the battery, and such action has contributed to or is reasonably linked to battery malfunction, performance issues, or abnormal system behaviour.
Sejamas reserves the right to deny any warranty claim where the vehicle condition, diagnostic findings, or system data indicate that prior system resets or vehicle modifications have affected the battery’s operation, compatibility, or charging performance.
The warranty period shall commence strictly from the date stated on the official Sejamas receipt. No extension, backdating, or adjustment of the warranty start date shall be permitted under any circumstances.
Battery installation must be carried out exclusively by Sejamas authorised branches. Installation by any unauthorised party shall void all warranties and liabilities with immediate effect.
Post purchase assistance does not necessarily include or require an on-site technician visit. Sejamas reserves the right to determine the most appropriate form of support including remote diagnostics, branch inspection, or call center guidance.
For warranty related services, vehicle malfunction, or professional assistance, the customer must contact Sejamas through the official Call Service Center at 1800 820 002. Requests made through unofficial channels shall not be recognised.
Any request by the customer for on-site attendance by a Sejamas technician shall be subject to a service fee ranging from RM30.00 to RM50.00 as determined solely by the servicing branch based on distance, location, and travel requirements. This charge applies regardless of the nature of the visit and shall include but not be limited to battery inspection, diagnostics, testing, troubleshooting, warranty assessment, or battery replacement.
The applicable service fee shall be payable in advance prior to technician dispatch and shall be non-refundable. This on-site service charge shall apply even where no battery replacement is ultimately performed or where the visit is limited to inspection or verification purposes only.
Sejamas reserves the right to decline or cancel any on-site service request if the customer refuses or fails to make advance payment of the applicable service fee.
Sejamas reserves the absolute right to decline attendance at the customer’s location should the customer refuse or fail to make advance payment of the applicable RM30.00 to RM50.00 service charges.
Sejamas shall only be responsible for the warranty of batteries sold directly by Sejamas. No responsibility shall be assumed for batteries supplied by third parties or sourced externally.
Sejamas shall not be liable for any issues, damage, or malfunction arising from the customer’s decision to install a battery with higher or lower specifications than recommended for the vehicle. Professional recommendations will be provided prior to installation, and the final decision rests with the customer.
All official sales are digitally recorded in the Sejamas system. Where a customer elects to proceed with a battery that does not conform to the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications, such consent shall be recorded and shall serve as binding reference for all post purchase and warranty evaluations.
Where it is identified that any system reset, electronic modification, or engine modification was performed prior to the purchase or installation of the battery, Sejamas shall not be responsible or liable for any malfunction, performance degradation, warning indicators, or operational issues arising thereafter.
Any costs, diagnostics, repairs, recalibration, or system resets required as a result of such prior system resets or vehicle modifications shall be borne solely by the customer.
Sejamas reserves the right to cancel the product and service warranty if the customer refuses to undertake necessary vehicle repairs or rectifications as advised by Sejamas customer service where such refusal may adversely affect battery performance or safety.
After twenty four hours from the completion of battery installation by Sejamas technicians, the customer shall have no right to claim against Sejamas for any mechanical damage to the vehicle.
Sejamas and its service personnel shall not be liable for any damage or malfunction arising from pre existing vehicle conditions including but not limited to wear and tear, corrosion, modified components, brittle fittings, or poor maintenance.
The customer acknowledges that components such as battery brackets, wiring, terminals, fuse housings, and surrounding fittings may be fragile or compromised. Any incidental damage occurring during standard installation procedures shall not constitute installer fault.
By accepting the service, the customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sejamas and its personnel from any claims arising from pre existing mechanical or structural issues unrelated to proper battery installation procedures.
Once the used or old battery is traded in to Sejamas, ownership shall transfer irrevocably to Sejamas. The customer shall have no right to retrieve, reclaim, or request the return of the traded in battery under any circumstances.
The Free Battery Package offered in conjunction with motor insurance policies is subject to strict eligibility criteria and conditions as set out below.
a. Eligibility for the Free Battery Package is strictly limited to customers who successfully renew or purchase a comprehensive motor insurance policy through Zlata Resources Sdn Bhd or Solido Sdn Bhd. Policies obtained through any other insurer, agent, broker, or intermediary shall not qualify for this benefit.
b. The eligibility of the free battery is subject to vehicle brand, model, and specification as determined solely by Sejamas. Sejamas reserves the absolute right to approve, vary, substitute, or reject the battery model offered under this package based on technical suitability, availability, and operational considerations.
c. A mandatory flat rate charge of RM70.00 shall apply to every insurance free battery claim. This flat rate covers battery installation, diagnostic checks, calibration where applicable, and issuance of the official Sejamas warranty. This charge is payable by the customer and is non refundable.
d. The RM70.00 flat rate applies exclusively to battery claim and replacement services performed at Sejamas authorised branches. The Free Battery Package does not include on site installation or inspection services. As a condition of eligibility, the customer must agree to the trade in of the existing battery installed in the insured vehicle at the time of replacement, and ownership of the traded in battery shall transfer irrevocably to Sejamas. Sejamas shall only replace the battery based strictly on the vehicle manufacturer’s default specification as determined by Sejamas, and no alternative or upgraded specifications shall be provided under the Free Battery Package.
e. Any request for on site installation, inspection, diagnostics, or related services under the Free Battery Package shall be subject to an additional service fee ranging from RM30.00 to RM50.00 as determined by the servicing branch based on distance and travel requirements. Such fees are payable in advance and are separate from the RM70.00 flat rate.
f. Sejamas reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel the Free Battery Package benefit if the customer fails to comply with any of the eligibility requirements or payment obligations set out herein.
All products and services offered by Sejamas are subject to stock availability, branch capacity, and operational constraints. Sejamas does not guarantee immediate battery availability, immediate installation, or same day service even after payment has been made. Delays due to stock replenishment, logistics, weather conditions, or unforeseen operational issues shall not constitute a breach of contract.
Any appointment time or estimated arrival time provided by Sejamas is an estimate only and shall not be construed as a guaranteed service time. Sejamas shall not be liable for delays arising from traffic conditions, weather, high demand, manpower limitations, or circumstances beyond reasonable control.
All payments made to Sejamas including but not limited to product purchases, installation fees, diagnostic fees, service fees, and insurance related flat rates are final and non refundable once service has commenced or installation has been performed. Refunds shall only be considered at the sole discretion of Sejamas in exceptional circumstances.
Battery performance, lifespan, and durability are subject to driving habits, electrical load, vehicle condition, alternator performance, weather conditions, and maintenance practices. Sejamas does not guarantee specific battery lifespan or performance duration and shall not be liable for reduced performance caused by external or vehicle related factors.
Unless expressly stated in writing, warranties and free battery packages do not apply to vehicles used for commercial purposes including but not limited to e hailing, delivery services, logistics fleets, driving schools, or modified vehicles. Where applicable, Sejamas reserves the right to impose revised warranty terms or additional charges.
Sejamas shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance arising from events beyond its reasonable control including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, fire, pandemic related restrictions, strikes, government actions, supply chain disruptions, or acts of God.
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Sejamas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses including loss of use, loss of income, towing costs, alternative transport costs, or inconvenience arising from battery failure or service delays.
Sejamas reserves the right to reject any warranty or insurance related claim where false information, misrepresentation, tampering, altered receipts, or fraudulent conduct is suspected. Sejamas may suspend services pending investigation without liability.
The customer is responsible for providing accurate vehicle information including model, year, engine variant, and usage type. Sejamas shall not be liable for errors arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.
All content on Sejamas.com including text, images, logos, pricing structures, system workflows, service models, and documentation are the intellectual property of Sejamas and are protected under applicable Malaysian intellectual property laws. Any unauthorised reproduction, misuse, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
Sejamas reserves the right to amend, revise, or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version published on Sejamas.com at the time of transaction shall prevail and be binding on the customer.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and any translated version of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
